PRESENTATION
ELASTOGIUNTO is a special product obtained by mixing special bitumens, thermoplastic (SBS) elastomers and special additives having stabilising and protecting function on the structure. ELASTOGIUNTO maintains the sealing and waterproofing capabilities against the water both at the high and at the low working temperatures of the structures where it is used.

FIELDS OF USE
ELASTOGIUNTO is designed to make external and internal horizontal joints. When the width of the joint exceeds 3 cm, it is possible to improve the stability of the compound adding dry sand. The outstanding characteristics of adhesion and elasticity of the material allow its use on the most various substrates, such as concrete, masonry, metal, wood, etc, after adequate preparation.

MODALITY OF USE
ELASTOGIUNTO is manufactured in boxes of cardboard with a capacity of 20 kg, with an anti-adhesive inside surface, to favor the suit separation of the product from the box. For its use it's enough to remove the pack and to pour the content inside the boiler. To bring the product to the fluid state, is enough to heat the temperature moderately increasing it and having care to never overcome the 190 °C.
Higher heating temperatures may start irreversible vulcanisation processes and make the product useless. After the product is at the fluid state, it can be poured in the joint, previously prepared: all surfaces must be clean, dry, without crumbling parts; they must be heated up to a temperature of 40°C with by torching in order to improve the compatibility between the two bodies.
When the sealing compound starts cooling, it is possible the development of air bubbles on the surface. To eliminate these bubbles it is enough to heat the surface by torch.

Novaglass reserves the possibility to change, without warning, the technical characteristics in order to make the product more responding to the application requirements.
